Levels
This year we have four levels; First Spark, Growing Glow, Radiant Flame, and Blazing Star! Be sure to read through the descriptions carefully and choose the level that suits you best—we promise a weekend of intensive dance courses is a lot more fun when you’re in the right level!
If you’re unsure about which level you should choose, just send us a message on Instagram (it’s even better if you can include a short video of you dancing) and we can help you pick! Otherwise ask one of your local dance teachers what they think :)
First Spark ✨
You’ve recently started dancing and you are already obsessed (who wouldn’t be?). 🪩 In this course you will learn lots of new figures, as well as refine some of the ones you have already learnt. This will be an intensive weekend, so you can expect to come out of it with lots of new moves to tear up the social dance floor! ✨💖
Growing Glow 🌟
You have some experience dancing Boogie-Woogie or Lindy Hop! You know your basic steps, as well as 8-count figures (such as a swing out), and some other variations. 🕺🕺
You understand the main principles of swing dancing, and maybe you’re starting to experiment a bit more with musicality in your dancing! 🎷
Radiant Flame 🔥
You’ve been dancing for at least a few years, and this probably isn’t your first international dance festival. You like to improvise while you’re dancing and are comfortable with learning new figures and techniques quickly. 🏃💨 You want to develop your dance and musicality skills further and you’re ready for a challenge! 🔥
Blazing Star 💫
Our Blazing Star track is for our most experienced dancers! You’ve done lots of social dancing, participated in competitions, and probably attend international festivals regularly. You are comfortable dancing at all tempos, and already have a huge repertoire of dance figures to pull from. You’re now looking to refine your own personal dance style and technique, and dive into the small details. The teaching pace at this level will be much faster than in our other tracks.
